1. Kenwood Radio Code

Volkswagens have an anti-theft feature built into the radio. Every time you turn off the radio and remove the key, a red light in the face plate will start to blink: this signals that the radio is in anti-theft mode. Anyone who does not know the radio code can't operate it if it is removed from the car. However, the radio also goes into this mode whenever the battery is disconnected, an electrical fuse is blown or you disconnect the radio from the current supply. You may need to reset the radio if this happens.

The code number for the radio is listed on the radio card in your Volkswagen owner’s manual. Turn on the ignition, then press the power button on the radio. The radio will display “SAFE” and then “1000” on its screen. Use the preset buttons “1” though “4” to enter the four digit code on the radio card.

The title basically says it all. This method is used for all VW's, Audi's, Porsche's, Bently's and most other vehicle manufacturers that have radio PIN codes.
